In the last 2 weeks were i attended several children's party, i grab the opportunity to ask fellow moms about birthday celebration preparations and was surprised how time consuming it can be. I talked to some mom during the party said that they give a 4 months preparation. Imagine 4 months!
My daughter and I will be celebrating our 1st birthday party ever, that's i wanted it to be extra-special.
Soon after the conversation i counted the remaining months and found out that i have 4 months to go! I am targeting Nov 5, 2011 as our date.
Their advice to look on the following:
- Budget-How much are you willing to spend?
- Venue- Priority as we have to book on our date and time.
- Venue Accessibility- For your guests consideration. Parking and easy to locate.
- Date- Of course we'd love our party to be well attended, so lets check a good date.
- Party theme- Cuz this will basis to all printed material, cakes, decorations and give-aways.
- Food- Whether we like it our not, we should serve different food to kids and adult.
- Decorations- dress up the party!
- Party Activities- to make the party more lively. Most moms goes for face painting, magic show, bubble show, puppet, clowns and games.
- Add-ons- loot bags, giveaways and prices.
Most of the moms i was able to talk to settles for fast-food parties of the following:
in ranking:
- Jollibee- because their kiddo love Jollibbe! (who would not?)
- Mc Donalds- Friendlier cost of foods, more lenient than Jollibee.
- Shakey's- Fast emerging children's party. Cuztomizable and lenient but w/ corkage fee.
Party themes:
- Disney Princess
- Cars
- Mickey Mouse
- Barney
- Dora-dora
- Sponge-bob
